A full-day conference highlights the main objectives of K-TECH @ Silicon Valley 2013: To connect IT professionals and entrepreneurs in Korea and the U.S as well as identifying the areas of collaboration. The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of Korea under the President Park's new economy policy, has shared the vision for the IT and Software sectors with an agenda call "The Creative Economy".
The key points of "The Creative Economy" include promoting convergent IT and software technologies, scientific discoveries and technology integrating with cultural content for sustainable economic growth. The main purpose of "The Creative Economy" policy is to extend job market and to support innovative industries, and increase its globally professional and creative workforce.
K-TECH @ Silicon Valley 2013 sets forth to improve this dynamic partnership between Korea and the U.S. IT
sectors with a conference program that presents the most recent technological trends and perspectives.
